Baryn Futa: Championing the Arts and Expanding Public Appreciation
One of the defining characteristics of human society is the appreciation for art. This is a tradition that stretches back literally thousands of years to cave paintings and pottery. This is a piece of human history that we should do our very best to not only remember, but more fully explore. There is a community of people, both in the United States and internationally, that commits to helping to expand public appreciation of the fine arts, both in their historical and contemporary forms. Baryn Futa is a supporter of the arts and is proud of the role he plays in helping to expand public knowledge of, and appreciation for, the fine arts. No matter what color, creed, gender, religion, or personality a person is, they have an appreciation for some kind of art. The key is that more people need to engage in activities that support artists, so that more unique art can be created. Not everyone goes that extra mile to support artists, but this is something Baryn Futa takes very seriously.
Baryn Futa has been happy to play a small role in the community that expands appreciation for the fine arts. He is an art benefactor who is proud to support dozens of artists. He has a special interest in contemporary art, with a particular focus on time-based media (which is to say: video). Baryn Futa is not just investing in art because he enjoys it, but also because it is a logical and efficient investment to make. He is constantly encouraging others to invest in the arts as well.
Baryn Futa was not always interested in the arts. His interest in fine arts only really took off after his retirement. Baryn Futa first discovered his interest in the fine arts while working with the Denver Art Museum. Since then, his appreciation has only increased. He very quickly decided that he wanted to learn all that he could, taking classes, going to fairs, and even starting his own collection. Today, Baryn Futa loans pieces of art from his collection to museums and exhibitions.
